Akparawa Effiom Edem, Chairman, Uyo Chapter

Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Uyo Chapter was inaugurated in a colourful ceremony at Nkemba Hall, Abak Road, Uyo on September 1992 as the second of the then six Local Government Areas that made up Ibibio land in the newly created Akwa Ibom State.
This was a culmination of the efforts of Akparawa Ime Bassey Okon alias KOMASA who played the pioneering role of coordinating the establishment of the chapter of Mboho in the mainland city of Uyo.
With the spirit of “Oneness for Service ” the chapter’s inaugural executives which had

Akparawa Monday Uwah and Akparawa Patrick Ibanga as Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively worked assiduously to carry the indigenes of the old Uyo local government area whose services were transferred from Cross River State to Akwa Ibom State. The exemplary and selfless service and excellence midwifed a line –up of servant leaders that has seen Uyo chapter being among the best chapters of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio right from inception and also providing leadership resources for Mboho at National and International levels.
