Obituary Akparawa Col Ifon

Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio regrets to announce the passing of one of our committed members in Abuja chapter;Akparawa (COLONEL) STEPHEN J. IFON.

Late Colonel S.J Ifon 54, was born in Ikot Akpan Eshiet, Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Until his sudden death he was in active service as a senior officer, a colonel, in the Nigeria Army where he had had an unblemished record as a fine and good natured soldier loved equally by both junior and senior officers . Akparawa Ifon was always being relied upon by his superiors to deliver on his briefs on time, all the time and within budget.

Akparawa Steve was a great giver and one always happy to shoulder other people’s responsibilities even at great personal inconvenience.

His last outing in Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio was on August 9, 2015 at Udo Udoma House, Uyo where he announced a substantial support to the continued development and operation of Mboho Unity Schools on the occasion of his formal induction into the organization. He will be missed sorely by both his Chapter, Abuja and the organization as a whole.

He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers.

He died on the 4th day of September 2015.

His burial arrangements are as announced by his family.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
