The Central Working Committee of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio during her February 2017 meeting ratified a resolution of her Executive Council to round off on Sunday, August 6, a week-long series of activities to mark the celebration of her three flagship events in her calendar for this year.

The effect is that The 30th Anniversary/Founders/Cultural Day, The 20th Edition of Obong Sampson Udo Etuk Lectures, Excellence Awards/Obong Nyong Essien Scholarship Awards and The First International Convention have been consolidated into one big home-coming Carnival at Udo Udoma International Convention Centre Headquarters of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Uyo Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria.

Accordingly there will be no other International Convention this year in any other territory.

Note this does not stop any planned chapter inauguration in Nigeria or outside as Chapter inaugurations continue to hold as planned.

Ibibio sons and daughters in Chapters, High Commissions, Countries and territories are hereby notified to adjust their travel plans accordingly as the November events have been unified into the Anniversary/Founders’ Day which remains the only Calendar Programme of the organization that cannot be shifted.  The Local Organising Committee (LOC) headed by the Vice President 2, Akparawa (Otuekong) Udo Festus has announced the approval by the Central Working Committee of the attached programme of events. The LOC has affirmed that members have working assiduously hard deliver an unforgettable experience for delegates and their families with a rich harvest of cultural shows, compelling lectures, symposia, Ibibio Cuisines and networking opportunities in an atmosphere and environment of a once-again peaceful and safe Akwa Ibom State.
