PROFILE OF MMI-HEATHROW CHAPTER
Due to the need to expand the reach of Mboho in the greater London area, Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, Heathrow Chapter was inducted by the former president Akparawa Elder Nse Ubeh as the 50th chapter of the organization at the 3rd Ibibio summit which took place in Liverpool on the 2nd of May, 2014.
From inauguration, we have been reaching out to Ibibios in the diaspora resident around the West London – Heathrow area from as close as Feltham, Hounslow and as far away as Maidenhead, Slough, Richmond, Putney and Surrey areas.
Although a young chapter, we have set ourselves a mandate to be visionary and a yardstick for MMI in the UK and the diaspora.
At induction, we had fourteen members comprising of six old and eight new members. We have experienced rapid growth with a number of observers who have shown the zeal and determination to officially join the organization.
We have the following as executive members:

- Akparawa Eno Umorok as Vice Chairman
- Akparawa Aniefiok Ekanem as Secretary
- Akparawa Imo Umoetuk as Financial Secretary
- Akparawa-anwan Catherine Ibanga as Treasurer
- Akparawa-anwan Emem Igodifo as PRO
A number of positions are set to be filled in the coming months.
We have recently secured a meeting place for our monthly meeting which holds on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Yiewsley & West Drayton community Association Community Centre, Harmondsworth Road, West-Drayton, Middlesex,UB7 9JL after over 5 months of pre and post induction meetings hosted by the Vice Chairman.
