28th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF MBOHO MKPARAWA IBIBIO
Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, MMI rolls out a one week loaded programme of activities to mark her 28th anniversary and the 2015 founders’ day celebration. Smarting from epoch-making 10th anniversary of MMI in the United States of America and 1st anniversary of Heathrow and Essex Chapters last month the organizing committee has released the following programme
On Monday, 27th July, 2015 at 10 a.m.the international President, Akparawa (Elder) Monday Etokakpan will lead MMI’s 11 founding members together with 7 past presidents in a media chat at the Udo Udoma House headquarters of the socio-cultural organization. Later same day he will host the Mboho forbears and their spouses in a cocktail party.
A radio talk show has been planned for the founding members on Tuesday, 28th July at 10:00 in the radio stations in the State.
The International President will address a world press conference on Wednesday, 29th instant in the afternoon at the organization’s headquarters.
A sponsored charity walk is part of the planned activities for the week and members have been called out to participate in this noble exercise while the proceeds will be channeled towards a designated charity home in the State.
The high point of the festivities will be the presentation of a Public Lecture on the theme MMI 28 YEARS OF LEADERSHIP: SO LONG, SO GOOD, SO MUCH MORE. Members and invitees will be entertained by a variety of Ibibio cultural displays.
The grand finale is thanksgiving service at The Apostolic Church, Oron Road, Uyo Assembly on Sunday, 2nd August which will be followed shortly afterwards with induction of new members from all the chapters at the Udo Udoma House International Headquarters of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio founded 1 August, 1987.
